Zentangle - draw your heart out!

Its an amazing art, its like drawing your heart out with an open mind, drawing like you are a free soul and as if this is the only "TO DO" you have!
Draw as you would have drawn when you were 2 years old, draw believing its not creating any obligation, draw as if you dont have to prove anything to anybody, draw without contemplating whether it would be appreciated, draw believing this is the best use of time, draw as if its going to make you the most loved person in this world, draw till there's no space to draw....
All you need is a piece of paper, a smooth and dark ink pen/gel pen and thats it! The final result is a Beautiful Zentangle/ Zendoodle. DH saw this for the first time and was not ready to accept it is all hand drawn by me! He thought it is something printed.

Is this what you too did at the back of your notebooks in the boring lectures at school and college??? ;) Made the cartoon of some of the teachers?
I loved to scribble during these lectures, sometimes sharing some funny chit chats with friends or sometime even playing tic tac toe!! What did you do??

In the process I was explaining her that she should wear the undies and slowly we'll get rid of the nappies..

Forever yours - Heart shaped easel card with melted crayon background

Hi there, my crafty friends..Wish you all a very happy valentine day..may you have a love filled today and everyday .
Made this lovey dovey card for DH this valentine. This is my first attempt at an easel card, love it even more coz of the heart shape.
Hand cut the hearts and the pattern paper for the base of the card. The background is done using the melted crayon technique. Used some of my daughters old wax colors and votif candle. Its a super simple technique and has a therapeutic feeling with the lemon flavored candle! Sprinkled some glitter and applied a layer of mod podge. Again my first attempt at using it. Was not sure how it will look, love the result!!!

Embellished the card with some cutsy buttefflies (my recent shopping spree) and some lovely garden theme stickers. Gave an outline to the card with faber castle 3D glitter outliner.
Do lemme know how u liked it.

Kids activity - Umbrella painting

Had a lovely time with hubby dear and kiddo on Australia day/Indian Republic day. Went to park, there was a nice celebration with lots of activities and games for kids.

We met the amazing Mr and Mrs Kangaroo, the walking trees..

The best was the umbrella painting. I loved this idea of engaging the kiddo. We got a plain white umbrella, painted it with lovely colors to our hearts content and gave it a nice glamorous finish by adding glitter all over.

..mamma bhi happy and baby bhi :)

What are the activities you enjoy doing with your little one?

Love - mini mixed media canvas

Hi dear friends
Hope you had a good start for the year and wish you have a fabulous month of love!
Sharing with you today a mixed media canvas I made for DH on our anniversary. This is my first attempt at mixed media, thanks to all the inspiration from my lovely bloggy pals!

I tried to make a small house filled with love, by the river side, under a tree. The tree full of delicious fruits, calm river and the brightly smiling Sun! Ah, a perfectly calm and serene life :)

Started by giving this mini canvas a layer of paint. Stuck packing paper to give the texture.
Had a house paper paper clip, perfect for my house. Painted the tree and embellished it by quilling. It has some birds from a pattern paper. The house is filled with Love brad from purple pumpkin and some pink stones. Made a river with blue mini beads. The Sun is a button from purple pumpkin. The sand is acrylic color on the crushed tissue.

I love my smiling Sun and the happy feeling I get every time I look at this lovely scene. how did you like it?
