Hi Friends, Sharing with you a lovely peacock and butterfly. The peacock is made using the handprint cutouts of my angel, this will be part of her baby book. The butterfly is made using her footprint cutouts. Both are highlighted using fevicryl 3D outliners. The peacock body is made using felt/fleece.

My little one is too excited to see her handprints and footprints in the form of these beauties.

Kids craft - Paper roll and gift wrap paper apple tree

A very simple and beautiful apple tree. All you need is a paper roll, gift wrapping paper and a red sketch pen. Cut one end of the toilet roll to make the branches. You can color the roll with brown color(optional).
Draw small red apples on the tissue paper. Scrunch it and put inside the braches of paper roll. Viola!! your apple tree is ready :) and you have a happy little one admiring it. I love the fresh look of the tree very much and could not stop admiring it myself :) Do try this simple craft and share with me.

Stone painting

Hi Friends

Sharing today a lovely activity that me and my little one did. I found some lovely smooth stones in the flower pots in our balcony, and immediately wanted to try this amazing craft whch i had seen on the net. Used acrylic paints for this. Gave two base layers to the stone in which my daughter helped for the most part. Below is how they looked after two coats. The best part of acylic colors is that it dries fast!!

Then we painted the different designs depending on the shape of the stone. We made the ladybug, flower, owl, love print,  fish, rainbow, bird , some free hand designs . You see some of the beautiful abstract paintings, that done by my daughter..so proud of her!!
After all the stones were painted, applied a layer of mod podge for the lovely glossy finish!

We painted the stones in batches and this activity was our night time ritual just before sleeping, which my daughter looked forward to from evening itself. I would make her drink milk while painting. As soon as I come from office she would want to do stone painting and hence demanding milk ;)

Now my dear blog has become so much a part of me. It has always been there for me, whenever I was alone, when I needed support, when i was happy and wanted to share my joy! when I wanted to know how my craft has come up. Motivating me, challenging me, helping me.
Met so many amazing crafters in my journey and made some lovely friends. Thank you so much dearies for all your love and support.

Sharing with you today a jungle scene that I made with my daughter. Made a cutie elephant, tree, clouds by paper piecing. The bunny, grass, caterpillar and sun are made using felt. The flowers are made using crepe paper. The border is made using washi tape. The small flowers are hand drawn. Do you see some stamping in red, thats my daughter trying her stamps :)

Healthy wholemeal chocochip and oats cookies with maple syrup

Ingredients:
1/2 cup olive oil
1 cup instant oats, powdered them
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp Eno
1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
1/2 cup sliced almonds, walnuts
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 cup sugar (little less also works fine)
2 tbsp honey
1/2 cup Milk
pinch of cinnamon powder
2 tbsp choco chips
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 Egg

Method:
In a mixing bowl add all of the ingredients. Gently fold in everything. Make small lemon size balls and flatten them. Place cookies little apart on a baking tray. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until they begin to brown around the edges. Let them cool..they taste awesome hot too. Enjoy with cuppa tea or coffee. I find them excellent as a afternoon snack.

Special delivery

Hi Friends, sharing with you a layout which is very close to my heart. It is during the time I was expecting my little one!
We had gone for a lovely road trip to lake entrance and beaucan caves near Melbourne. It was a fun trip with friends. Still cherish the memories. We were four couples. Three of them had a beautiful girl child, and secretly we knew we are going to be honored with our angel soon :) (yes we had kept it a secret for the rest of the world)

Made a lovely garden theme page with vines and bushes painted using acrylic paints. Embellished it with cutesy flowers and birds
